The finance industry plays a pivotal role in shaping economies, yet it is frequently scrutinized for its social and ethical impact. This two-day course explores the intersection of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and ethics within financial decision-making. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how ethical principles and socially responsible practices can drive sustainable financial performance, enhance reputation, and address stakeholder concerns

Facilitator

I am an Associate Professor in Finance and Accounting at Wits Business School, where I collaborate with entities like JSE to promote and empower individuals and businesses with essential finance skills and expertise. In addition, I am the co-founder and CEO of Thako Capital (Pty) Ltd, an organization at the forefront of capacity building through training, continuous small business support including through coaching, and research. My previous experience includes working as an accounting officer at Standard Chartered Bank. I also serve on the boards of Nexio (a subsidiary of Vodacom, SA), Specialised Insurance Company (SIC), and Kutana Investments.
